The word Jaycee stands for Junior Chamber of Commerce. The Jaycees organization was founded under the auspices of a professional development organization for young business leaders.
Through organizing successful community events and training, our members develop skills that enrich their lives both personally and professionally. A byproduct of these efforts is manifest in the lifelong friendships that are continually developed. It is these bonds, and others, that make us a stronger and more viable community. Though the mission has changed over time, the core values have always remained the same.
The St Cloud Jaycee chapter is one of the original six chapters in the state and has been serving our community continuously for over 75 years. In fact, the St Cloud Jaycee chapter predates the state organization. Every step of the way the St Cloud Jaycees have been there to help grow, develop, and support our community. In fact, a plaque recognizing our achievements is on the wall of the pavilion by Lake George near downtown St Cloud and a sizable park off Hwy 15 on St Cloud’s NW side bears the name “St Cloud Jaycees Park”.
As our community grows, the St Cloud Jaycees will continue to do our part to make sure St Cloud remains a great place to live.
